From the moment I met Jeremiah and Amanda I knew they had something special.

 After looking at many resorts they selected the Elcellence Playa Mujeres just north of Cancun it is a beautiful adults only resort.  This resort offers many fine dining options, romantic suites, and beautiful pools. The two of them and 16 of their friends and family headed down this last April.

 Not only did we arrange a beach ceremony, and a reception their guests enjoyed a full day adventure excursion snorkeling and zip lining. 

I knew from meeting with them the the ceremony was very important , and by having Jeremiah's father marry them made it so memorable and special.  

I am excited for the two of them to be returning to this resort to enjoy it and look back at their wonderful memories once again!

Last week my family and I enjoyed 10 days at the Maria El Cid in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. What a great time we had and made so many memories. The El Cid is a quick 25 minutes from the Cancun Airport and in the small fishing village of Puerto Morelos with the relaxed atmosphere for shopping and fun little restaurants. I even brought my family to one of my favorites for some fresh fish tacos!! We enjoyed the 1 bedroom beachfront suite. One reason this resort is so great for families they offer a standard room and 1,2 and 3 bed room suites. Great for families of any size.

This resorts biggest feature was its 22,000 sq foot pool with rock jumping, a slide, water volleyball, zero-entry for the little ones and a swim up bar for the big ones! One of my sons favorite part of this vacation was jumping into the pool. I wish I could have kept track how times he jumped!

You can also stay busy and enjoy their included activities, kids club, teen club, sailing, wind surfing, kayaking, boogie boards, and much more.

There are 4 dining options. Evening shows, I think the fire show was our favorite! A marina right next door for deep sea fishing. The boys enjoyed a bike tour into town one morning also included in the all inclusive package.

We took a day and enjoy Xel-ha what a perfect family day it is good for all ages, my son Dylan and I swam with the Dolphins (stay tune I will blog about the day soon!) .

I hope we talk about this vacation for many years, I know the kids have their favorite things they did from fishing, snorkeling for the 1st time or eating homemade Crepes every day! I know I just love enjoying my time with them and seeing their excitement from experiencing new things.

We got back from Mexico last night, again another amazing vacation. I can't tell you how much we love it at the Imperial. We already can't wait to go back. The couple that we went with have been to several different resorts in Mexico and said that this is then only one they would come back to. They said the food is better with many more options for each meal, along with the pool being the biggest they have seen with the two swim up bars along with another long lazy
pool. They also commented on how nice of a beach it is and how you can walk for so long and how safe the entire resort felt.

Oh, and that private transportation is awesome. We get there
and find the Lomas Rep and he brings us right to a Lincoln Navigator, he loads our luggage, we
get in and he has beer in there for us. It is so much better then having to
deal with 20 other people trying to get on the same buss. And pick up was just
as easy, they gave us the pick up time, got there five minutes early and came
and found us sitting among everyone and we got in the navigator and drove away.
It is so nice not to have to deal with or wait for other people on a buss.

I will def keep you updated on next years trip! Nichole I just want to tell you that I love booking through you, you make everything so easy and easy to understand I just love it. You really do an
amazing job!

I know it has been awhile since my last post to give you a quick update a lot has been going on here at Destination Vacation, I recently graduated from the Disney College of Knowledge. Which means I am even more ready to help you plan your Magical Vacation. Also I have been planning a trip to Disney. You really cannot learn all the new information and not go visit. In June I will be heading off with my daughter for some Disney Princess time, we hope to meet them all! I cannot wait to return and tell you all about it. Back to my trip to the Riviera Maya area, my first night I stayed at the Barcelo Palace. The complex is made up of 3 resorts, the Maya Beach, Tropical & Colonial and Palace all sitting on on of the most stunning beaches in the area!


All resorts offers large free form pool areas, many dining options, non motorized activities, on-site entertainment, and an excellent kids programs to keep the little ones busy.


During my quick stay at the Barcelo Palace I really enjoyed many things; the views of the beach, the endless pool areas, amenities in the over sized Jr Suites. This is a newer property which stands out for me you can just feel the freshness to the resort.

As old man weather arrived here in Minnesota for some of us only getting thru the winter is planning a vacation. This winter I am not noticing a trend location just that travelers want to get out of this cold weather.

With that I mind I know many of you are starting that packing list, heading off to the tanning bed and preparing for that week of fun in the sun!

Also the last time I was in Cancun I fell in love with Isla Mujeres, a group of 6 went on a almost private Catamaran to Isla Mujeres, but on the way we did some snorkeling, held a shark, and enjoyed lunch on the Beach. You never know who you are going to meet or what you are going ot experience but while on this ride with 5 of my friend there were 2 outher couples come to
find out they lived 15 minutes from me, WOW small world!

I just helped Buddy and Jenna find a simple, but fun vacation to the Occidental Grand Xcaret in Playa Del Carmen. When Buddy called me all he said was "Nichole get me outta here, I need to go somewhere warm." I asked him a few questions, but seeing he is a repeat client of mine I knew what he like in a vacation. It is official . .

Here in Minnesota this morning is 17 degrees . . . and that means it is time to start thinking about warm places.

A few updates

I have been talking about Cabo so much, I need to update you on a few other exciting things. Each day I am doing research for my clients helping them not only plan a vacation but lifetime memories and experiences. Every time someone calls me I get so excited to see what I can plan next.

This winter travel season I have noticed a few great travel itineraries to share with clients. First one is the wonderful straight flights into Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. While I was in Cabo San Lucas I toured the Royal Solaris. What a great resort, there were a few things I noticed during my tour the friendly staff, many dining options, new kids area, the main pool was also new, a large beautiful beach and a very clean resort. I just really enjoyed the entire resort and was excited to share this with you.


This resort has 5 restaurants, a large swimming pool, kids pools, adults only pool, themed nightly shows, room service, spa, kids and juniors clubs, gym and so much more. All the guest rooms are very spacious with balcony's and has mini bar in room.
